SMS for Hangout is the newest feature of the Google+
Account setting page, Add mobile number and get messages from Google+
Hangouts for SMS. When you are invisible.
Google noted: SMS is less secure and reliable than
web based communication. All messages sent by SMS are sent via your mobile
carrier network, without encryption.
Google+ Hangout for SMS works more than 55 countries
including India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh and many other countries of the
Middle East and Africa. But this option doesn't work in US Carrier.
